Program Overview

Join Cincinnati Preservation Young Preservationists and AIA Cincinnati Early Professionals for Preservation in the Park.

Tod Swormstant and the American Sign Museum will talk about saving and reusing the Cincinnati Gardens Sign before the building was demolished. Built in 1949 Cincinnati Gardens was home to many different sporting events, including hockey, basketball, boxing, and roller derby.

The bar at the Porch will be open until 11pm.

3CDC WEATHER POLICY: Our events are rain or shine, however in the event of severe weather or heavy rain we may cancel an event. All event cancellations will be posted on Facebook, usually deciding approximately an hour before start time as the weather changes quickly.

About Cincinnati Preservation Young Preservationists (CPYP)

CPYP is dedicated to engaging and supporting early-career and young professionals within the preservation community by providing networking, education, and community-building opportunities.

About AIA Cincinnati Early Professionals (EP)

The EP member group includes recent graduates, professionals working toward licensure, and recently licensed architects. The EP working group organizes ARE study sessions, socials, tours, and other programs. They meet virtually on the second Wednesday of each month at 11am and welcome new participants.
