Who inspires you?

Lex Fridman (podcaster) inspires me by having thoughtful, open-minded conversations imbued with love, empathy, and a desire for understanding.

Of your recent projects, which is your favorite and why?

The Center for College and Life Design at Bowling Green State University (my undergraduate alma mater). I got to be involved in the project from the concept design stages all the way through construction.

What do you consider your strongest skill?

Understanding how technology can be applied to the practice of architecture.

What do you love most about what you do?

I love creative problem solving. Whether it be figuring out a tricky construction detail or finding automations and workarounds in design software, I like being faced with difficult tasks that require a combination of technical knowledge and creativity to complete.

When you’re not being an architect, what do you enjoy doing?

Raising three kids (soon to be four), managing rental properties, hiking.
