Jamie grew up in Northern Kentucky to a large extended family and to this day loves cultivating a diverse community. They chose to pursue architecture after coming across Alvar Aalto's Viipuri Library in their High School art class and chose to attend University of Cincinnati for their undergraduate from 2012-2016. They graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago with a master’s in architecture in 2021 but spent several years prior gaining real-world experience by interning with various design/architecture firms, including Sandbox Studio, CallisonRTKL, and Gensler, before finding SHP. They are passionate about doing work that helps people at their core and enjoys belonging to a team where communication and respect are high priorities. In their free time, you can find them enjoying the local music scene, eating vegetarian meals, riding their bike, and with a bag filled with snacks, a book/journal, and various other gadgets. They currently work at SHP primarily in the career center and private school studios.
