Architect
Champlin Architecture
Mukta grew up and practiced in India till 2017. In a career spanning more than 15 years in the construction industry, she worked as architect, landscape designer, and as assistant professor in an architecture university, before relocating to the USA.
Her move came as a challenge to get re-established. Getting a license meant getting her master’s degree followed by the AXP hours and ARE exams in the USA. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati M. Arch in 2021 and successfully got her license in December of 2024. During her career here in the USA, she has worked in Michigan and Ohio at OHM advisors, WTA architects, and currently works at Champlin Architecture. Mukta believes that the buildings need to be in context to the place, narrate the user’s story, and add to the well being of the users by bringing nature and people together. She is a strong advocate of sustainability and passive design strategies. She has been a member of the AIA Cincinnati COTE committee since Jan 2024 and is serving on the Green Umbrella Leadership Committee.
In her free time, Mukta enjoys Indian classical music by dancing and singing.
