What does your firm do?

Harlan Graphics prints Environmental Graphics, Wall Murals, ADA, Wayfinding Graphics, and so much more. It’s impossible to squeeze it all in here, but we’ve got a beautiful brochure that shares some of our favorite projects (of course we have a brochure, we’re a graphics company!)

How did you get into this field?

I have a graphic design degree and wanted to go more into the print side of the field. It’s 32 years later and I still love and have a passion for this industry.

How does your firm work with architects?

Harlan is a true one-stop-shop for Architects. We set up our shop to cater to Architects.

We produce wall murals, environmental graphics, ADA, wayfinding, framing and matting services, and small format printing. We even have a full metal shop, wood shop, and paint booth to produce prototypes, from concept to finished products. We also install all of our graphics.

We have a 40,000 sq building on River Road full of inspiration and we love to provide tours to Architects and other design professionals. Walking through Harlan is like walking through the Wonka Chocolate Factory.

We have tons of examples of our work. And I always get my clients saying, “it’s so much to look at” and you can see their wheels spinning. Then it turns to, “Oh my, I could do this, I can do that. Can you print some samples for me to show my clients?” YES! I have so much fun on the tours. I invite anyone to stop by and take a tour with me.

Who or what inspires you?

New products. New printers. New medias to print on. And most importantly our clients. They give us awesome artwork to produce for them. Sometimes they know exactly what they want, sometimes we have to value engineer their ideas to fit the client’s budget. Print is my passion, and I can never hide that with new projects.
