Program Overview
The Cincinnati Public Library’s Walnut Hills Branch was originally built in 1906 as a Carnegie-funded library. The building has never received a major renovation or addition until the 2020s. The recent renovation project included making the library accessible and meeting the requirements of a modern research, meeting, and educational space of a growing neighborhood. The challenge was to bring the existing portion of the library up to the Building, Energy and Accessibility Codes while keeping most of the historical elements intact.
Meet outside the Walnut Hills Library at 6pm (parking available across the street) for a 30 minute tour then adjourn to Esoteric Brewing Co., 918 E McMillan St, Cincinnati, OH 45206 for refreshments. Or if you can’t make the tour, please join us at 6:30 at Esoteric for a social, please register so we can provide enough food.
If you can’t make this event, please join WiA and NAWIC for a networking opportunity on November 13.
