Program Overview
Highlights of the major non-structural changes in the 2024 Ohio Building Codes (OBC), with emphasis on chapters 1-11. Attendees will learn highlights of what changes have been made between the 2017 OBC and 2024 OBC editions and the reasons for the changes.

Learning Objectives
Review key highlights (nonstructural) about the overall changes that have been made between the 2017 Ohio Building Code (OBC) and the 2024 OBC, and the reasons for the changes
Review highlights of the changes that affect the occupancy, fire protection, type of construction, and means of egress
Be provided with highlights of the revisions to Chapter 11 of the 2024 OBC for accessibility including coordination with ANSI A117.1 and the 2010 ADA standard for design
Upon completion, have a basic understanding of how the changes will affect attendees’ projects and designs
