Program Overview
Join us for presentations on two CRANaward-winning projects that address design challenges at distinctly different scales.
Rob Busch, FAIA, of drawing dept will present Subtract + Divide, recipient of the Architectural Interior award. The presentation will explore how the reconfiguration of an existing interior, spatial organization, circulation, daylight, material selection, detailing, and building-system coordination shaped the completed residence.
Graham Kalbli, AIA, of New Republic Architecture will present Vandalia Point, recipient of the Multi-Unit Housing award. The presentation will examine how unit organization, shared circulation, privacy, accessibility, site relationships, and transitions between private and common spaces informed the design of the development.
Through project photographs, drawings, and design documentation, the presenters will discuss how existing conditions, site constraints, program requirements, code considerations, constructability, durability, and consultant coordination influenced the design and execution of each project.
