Program Overview

As projects become more and more complex, architects increasingly need a new skillset – that of an integrator. Design and construction involve many voices, from industry experts to stakeholders of all kinds. Design excellence happens when those voices can be harnessed and directed to execute on a clear and consistent shared vision. Tangible tools and processes developed for award winning projects will be shared that support driving collaboration and leading teams to on-budget and on-schedule delivery, great value for clients, and award winning designs.

Presented by AIA Cincinnati VISION.

Speaker

Sian Roberts, FAIA, is a partner with the Miller Hull Partnership where she has led design teams on academic buildings for higher education clients as well as civic and infrastructure facilities for state and federal government clients. Her passion lies with projects that improve the public realm. Sian is a firm believer that design excellence is best achieved through collaborative project delivery as evidenced through projects that have won AIA awards for design and sustainability, as well as DBIA awards for excellence in design-build, including the DBIA Project of the Year in 2021 and the DBIA Best in Teaming Award in 2023. In her support of the profession of architecture, she currently serves on the Washington State Licensing Board for Architects and the NAAB Board.
