Program Overview

One of Cincinnati’s earliest suburban neighborhoods, College Hill has a rich history and built environment.  Join a guided walking tour that will showcase some of the diverse architecture of its residential homes, neighborhood history and urban context.

Starting with College Hill Town Hall, the walk will proceed to “The Oaks,” for a private tour on the lawn with the owner, before concluding at Brink Brewery in the College Hill business district.

Along the way, Ed Loyd, President of the College Hill Historical Society, will share photos about the homes, their proud owners and some of the sites that haven’t survived. Expect to survey everything from early vernacular homes to examples of work by architects such as Hannaford, Rapp, Cellarius, Plympton, Crapsey, James Gamble Rogers, Adkins, Hake, Lonsdale Green, and Elzner & Anderson.

Space is limited. Please register by May 7 to secure your space.

After the tour, stay for a social at Brink Brewery and explore College Hill’s dining options, or if you can’t make the tour, join us then.

Presented by AIA Cincinnati's Custom Residential Architects Network (CRAN).

Speaker:

Ed Lloyd, President, College Hill Historical Society
