What inspires you?

I love the redemptive spirit and thread that I believe runs through each person’s life. For that reason, I like movies like Cool Hand Luke, Shawshank Redemption and Just Mercy.

Of your recent projects, which is your favorite and why?

A small addition to a house with a 7-foot deep entry with pantry, coat hooks, and a small walk-in closet above. I like it because it’s humble and yet challenging. It took a lot of faith for the homeowners to ask for my help not knowing what the service would be. I hope that I made them feel smart for hiring me.

What do you consider your strongest skill?

Interpersonal; the ability to find the silver lining, to be curious, and to encourage others.

What do you love most about what you do?

Variety.

When you’re not being an architect, what do you enjoy doing?

Spending time with my family, hopefully building faith for a better future.
