A Neighbor in OTR
In November 2025, Kleingers opened a second Cincinnati office at 1513 Race Street in Over-the-Rhine, deepening our connection to the city’s urban core. With several team members living in the area, we bring firsthand insight to better understand the neighborhood's dynamics, agencies, and approval processes. That insight also makes for smoother projects for our clients and design partners. Nine months in, we're excited to be working on area projects including the Gilbert Avenue Complete Street redesign, Artist Alley Reconstruction, West End Mixed-Use Development, Paramount Square, and a Habitat for Humanity development on Stanton Avenue. Being part of daily life here - cheering on the Reds Opening Day Parade from our office door, walking to FC Cincinnati matches, and enjoying local eateries - has only deepened that connection. We’ve even gotten to know the neighborhood's hospitality firsthand, riding out a storm in Alcove by MadTree’s OTR basement during a team outing.

Built for Urban Complexity
Cincinnati's urban core is home to many of our landmark projects including FC Cincinnati's TQL Stadium, Cincinnati Black Music Walk of Fame, Mercer Commons, and Union Terminal Plaza Restoration. One project we're especially proud of is the Findlay Market Parking Garage, a seven-level, 519-stall structure built to ease congestion in OTR and provide additional parking for Findlay Market and TQL Stadium patrons. Kleingers led civil engineering, surveying, and transportation engineering for the garage and its street-level commercial space. We also managed engineering of surrounding roadway and lighting improvements in the public right-of-way. Our traffic impact study led to a new connector street, Langston Street, honoring John Mercer Langston, Ohio's first Black attorney and a pioneering abolitionist. We're proud our early survey, engineering, and traffic work played a role in a project that serves the community well.

Being steps from project sites, clients, and partners has enhanced how our team works with faster site visits, closer coordination with the City and local agencies, and a real feel for how the neighborhood functions. We're active in ULI Cincinnati, the OTR Chamber of Commerce, and the Cincinnati Preservation Association, staying close to the conversations shaping the neighborhood's future. If you're an architect or developer working in OTR, we'd love to connect - let's collaborate and build something that benefits both your project and the community we now call home.
