Program Overview

Lighting is a vitally important factor in the design, construction, and operation of a home.  Adequate lighting is integral for the optimal use and enjoyment of a space. This course will discuss the different types of lighting, lighting components, layers, and even the most common lighting mistakes. In addition, the course will address the importance of lighting for the health and wellness of the occupants.

Learning Objectives

  • Learn the most common attributes to LED light and how they relate to our natural body wellness.

  • Learn the common mistakes made in the lighting layout process and how it can affect your natural circadian rhythms.

  • Learn what makes a good linear light design.

  • Learn how linear light can be used in many more ways than you thought and contribute to wellness through circadian attributes.
