SAID Works! 2024
As part of the AIA Cincinnati community and the UC Alumni network, we invite you to participate in the 28th installment of SAID Works!. This event fosters important connections between our up-and-coming architects and the greater Cincinnati architecture community.
In addition to supporting the Cincinnati Architectural Mentoring Program (C.A.M.P.), the program fee includes the Thursday reception, Friday box lunches, and parking for two vehicles in the DAAP Clifton Court Garage, 321 Clifton Court, Cincinnati, OH 45219.
Firms are expected to send at least one person for the Thursday Preview Event and two people for the Friday portfolio reviews. On Friday, each person will review eight (8) student portfolios so that each firm will meet with sixteen (16) students. If your firm is unable to provide two reviewers, please contact Alex Christoforidis.
The deadline for registration and submission of three slides for the Preview Event is 5pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024. Due to limited presentation space, registration is first-come first-served and could potentially be closed by this date.
Preview Event
Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024 // 5:00pm – 6:30pm // DAAP Room 4400
Each participating firm will have at least one representative present a live, three-minute, three-slide introduction about the firm and its co-op experiences. Firms must submit their three slides to Alex Christoforidis via email before 5pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024. The audience will consist of over 120 SAID (School of Architecture and Interior Design) students who are seeking a co-op job opportunity. Many will be seeking their first UC co-op, so in your firm introduction, please include a word of advice for someone seeking their first UC co-op. There will be time for questions from the students at the end of the program.
Immediately following the presentations, students will sign up for their Friday portfolio review time slots. Firm representatives are encouraged to stay and network with the students over a casual dinner.
