Program Overview
The State of Ohio energy code is ASHRAE 90.1-2010 and the Ohio Board of Building Standards is proposing to adopt ASHRAE 90.1-2019 with the next adoption of the State building codes. This presentation will go over the significant changes between the currently adopted energy code and the future energy code Ohio is proposing to adopt. We will also touch on the future of ASHRAE 90.1 and its expected impact on decarbonization efforts.

Jeremy Fauber, PE, Principal and Engineering Manager, HEAPY
With 19 years of innovative and sustainable design experience, Jeremy serves as the Manager of Engineering and Digital Strategy at HEAPY. His past work includes corporate, healthcare, education, and mission critical facilities with budgets over $250 million. He is passionate about helping deliver projects that balance first cost and lifecycle cost, as well as resiliency and energy usage.
Jeremy has been a leader in the HVAC industry serving on multiple ASHRAE standards committees as chair for Standard 170: Ventilation of Health Care Facilities, and voting member for Standard 189.3: Design, Construction, and Operation of Sustainable High-Performance Health Care Facilities. He is past president of the ASHRAE Dayton Chapter.
