Program Overview

AIA Cincinnati and NEST, in partnership with Northside Community Council, will be hosting a one-day, community charrette in the Northside neighborhood. The goals of the charrette will be:

  1. Attract and retain residents, businesses, and patrons on Hamilton Avenue's 4000 block (between Spring Grove Ave. and Blue Rock St.)

  2. Enhance mobility in Northside, including public transit use

  3. Make Knowlton's Corner an inviting and functional gateway (including the sequence of arrival and navigating through the intersection as pedestrians and bicyclists)

  4. Connect the Northside business district with the Millcreek recreation areas by activating underutilized spaces

AIA Cincinnati's workshops help deserving communities visualize urban design improvements for their neighborhoods. Our volunteer architects assist residents, businesses, and other stakeholders conceptualize changes needed to make their urban environment better.

We need volunteer architects and urban designers to help put the community's vision into form. Please contact us for more information.
