Project Details

Pinnacle Engineering provided the structural engineering design for the new Clifton Cultural Arts Center (CCAC).

The new CCAC building is a community hub for discovery, expression, belonging, and connection.

The three-story, $8.1 million development spans 18,000 sq. ft. and includes multi-purpose classrooms, performance space, art galleries, and a roof with design for assembly space, including a partial green roof.

The partial green roof reduces the urban footprint while enhancing environmental efficiency and friendliness.

The structural complexities of this project included a diverse range of brick materials and the challenge of avoiding columns at corners for aesthetic appeal, all within a steel frame structure.  The project received an Honor in Masonry Award from the Tri-State Masonry Institute in November 2024.

Our engineers designed a custom complex facade and the integration of different materials, bringing emersion DESIGN‘s architectural vision to life while ensuring structural integrity.

Principal and Founder Kip Ping, notes: “One of the most rewarding aspects of what architects and engineers do is seeing projects come to fruition knowing we were a part of making it happen.  CCAC was a challenging and enjoyable project to work on, but hearing Clifton residents comment on how important and beneficial this building is to them and their community makes it all the more rewarding.”
